IS Manager, PAXAR Systems Group, Sayre, PA. Managed department
supporting manufacturing, distribution and financial systems for $60
million division with 3 manufacturing and 6 distribution locations.
Separation was at my own initiative to re-enter consulting practice.
1977-1980
Process Control Engineer, Corning Inc., Corning, NY. Developed and
installed computer systems to control manufacturing processes, i.e.
glass melting, forming and finishing. Required thorough knowledge of
computer hardware, software, and manufacturing electronics.
1975-1977
Senior Programmer, Turnkey Systems Inc., Norwalk, CT. Development team
for TASK/MASTER and KEY/MASTER software products for IBM mainframe
computers. Responsible for worldwide KEY/MASTER customer technical
support.

Systems Programmer, Herbert H. Lehman College, New York, NY.
Maintained IBM mainframe operating system, including tuning and
applying IBM software updates. Developed enhancements to HASP job
spooling package.

For Sportrends. Converted shopping cart and check out to use PayPal's
Website Payments Standard. Sportrends reduced the cost of its merchant
account and completely eliminated the cost of a secure server. PayPal
collects and manages all sensitive customer credit card information,
and also provides a merchant account with no monthly fee.

For Corning Civic Music. Overall management of a major web site
enhancement project, from project conception through design,
development, testing, deployment, training and acceptance. This
project build upon the 2008 Civic Music project. Assembled internal
team who set objectives, selected a vendor and assumed ownership upon
completion. Additionally, I developed a JavaScript “sales wizard”
module to control the visitor’s experience through the membership
application process, including a customized shopping cart and
connection to PayPal.

copious amounts of open customer order information for PeopleSoft team

part and sub-assembly identification is recorded and retained for each

For Corning, Inc. Life Sciences Division. Adapt EMS for web based
customer order processing and Third Party Logistics. Includes
transformation of BizTalk data to EDI 850 customer orders for import
to EMS and reverse transformation for outbound EDI 856 advanced ship
notices and 810 invoices. Also includes order allocation and dispatch
to appropriate regional distribution center (both in-company and 3PL)
as well as order re-routing for out-of-stock conditions.

wearable art designed by my wife, Louise. This included photography,
web design and PayPal interface. Extensive JavaScripting was employed

with EMS to report manufacturing resource utilization. Extracts labor
and material utilization and standards from EMS into an Access
database for management reporting and analysis.

For Corning, Inc. Life Sciences Division. Extract Order-to-Cash
(revenue) and Req-to-Pay (expense) functionality from division level
to corporate level operation. The key was to reconcile division level
shipping with corporate level invoicing and division procurment with
corporate accounts payable.

Apache Web Server, MySQL, PERL
Prototype web site to build vocabulary skills for students planning to
take GRE and SAT exams. Written in PERL, this site logs user
performance in a MySQL database and uses a proprietary algorithm to
dynamically generate customized vocabulary exersizes matched to the
student's needs. This is still a prototype, but you may contact me for
more information and a demonstration.

For Cameo Woods Condominium Community. Security system to screen all
visitors. Provides security guards with information on all expected
visitors to facilitate their entry, logs ALL visitors and produces
parking passes which must be displayed in car to identify visitor,
homeowner and expiration time.

For Corning, Inc. Life Sciences Division. Develop bridge to deliver
current customer, product and order information from manufacturing
system to corporate web site for customer interrogation. Permits
customers to check product availability and status of current orders.

For TeleNurse. Develop system allowing TeleNurse to respond to home
health and home hospice patients. Patient telephones TeleNurse staff
nurses who access this system to reference patient profile and log
activity. Daily cycle downloads patient information from client health
care facility database and generates activity reports.

processor for complete inventory balancing and reconciliation with

team installing VAX based EMS manufacturing software to replace
several legacy systems. Responsibilities: 1) conversion of disparate
data bases (ex, inventory systems from several locations), 2)
interfaces to existing corporate systems (ex, auto update from
corporate vendor master) and 3) EMS enhancements to meet functionality
provided by systems being replaced (ex, auto-FAX system for purchase
orders).

For PAXAR. Spearheaded several projects that improved functional
capabilities and operational efficiencies of VAX based EMS
manufacturing software. Used PC based tools to improve reporting
facilities of EMS. Managed development and installation of PC based
hourly employee time accounting system.

For Bradford Electronics. Enhanced product inspection system to meet
more stringent requirements of DOD. System integrates PDP, PCs and
custom electronic measuring devices to assure products comply with DOD
